GotSkill? actively supporting business owners and their communities

For gaming company Skill Based Games Inc. (SBG), the next few months will be hectic – and exciting. The Vaughan, Ontario-based company, the supplier of GotSkill? games, has an active spring planned, lending support to Ontario’s hospitality industry and participating in community projects.

“We are very encouraged with the increasing interest and support shown in our products,” says Tony Carvalho, GotSkill? president and CEO. Having just exhibited at Restaurant Canada’s (RC) hospitality trade event, Carvalho comments, “At the RC Show we heard about the many challenges faced by bar and restaurant owners, but there also is a resiliency within the hospitality sector. This attitude drives us to find ways to bolster our clients’ businesses and provide greater entertainment value for their patrons.”

“Our GotSkill? employees are excited about the company’s spring activities, and we hope this will lead into a good summer for the establishments,” adds Carvalho.

GotSkill? made three new initiatives public in the weeks following the RC Show.

To help manage the rising costs of operations for hospitality its establishments, GotSkill? is launching a new customer benefits program, “GS BuyingGroup.” The objective of the program is to reduce costs exclusive for businesses hosting GotSkill? games. Everyone can expect to hear further details of a suite of new benefits in the months ahead. The first GS BuyingGroup feature service being rolled out this month is with Paystone, a leading North American payment and software company that offers a variety of merchant services including POS terminals.

As part of its ongoing ticket giveaways, GotSkill? has just unveiled an exciting promotion that gives game players a chance to win two tickets to the Formula 1 Exhibition taking place in Toronto on May 25th. The contest is being conducted on social media on the GotSkill? Instagram and Facebook pages. A lucky winner will be announced Friday May 17. Previous contests have included ticket giveaways to Toronto Raptors and Maple Leaf games, and Amazon gift cards.

GotSkill? has also announced it is broadening its charitable giving by providing sponsorships of Special Needs Bowling and Basketball in the District of South Simcoe, and Vaughan Vikings Men’s Baseball League in Woodbridge. This summer the company will once again be sponsoring the Unionville Thursday Nights at the Bandstand concert series. More sponsorships and donations will be announced in the weeks ahead.

“We enjoy getting involved with our customers, their patrons, and in their communities. We have a great, entertaining product and we like having fun along the way,” says Tony Carvalho.

GotSkill? are unique skill-based games that are hosted in floor cabinets and bar top units. The games are found in nearly 200 establishments across Ontario: from Windsor, London, and the Niagara Region, throughout the GTA, to Ottawa and Cornwall, and to northern centres, from North Bay to Pickle Lake.
